Bonus 6

The 5-Week Jumpstart

If you want a focused starting point, this is exactly what I'd do for the next 5 weeks to drop up to 10 lbs of scale weight — a mix of real fat loss, water, and inflammation coming down. Nothing extreme. Just the Starter Kit, done on purpose.

Set expectations honestly

Sustainable fat loss is about 1 lb per week. When people see bigger drops early on, most of it is water and inflammation coming down as blood sugar stabilizes and stress on the body decreases. That's a good thing — it just means the scale moves faster in the beginning than it will later.

Before you start

  • Calculate your calorie target in Chapter 2 (choose Steady or Faster Fat Loss).
  • Take before pictures and 4 body measurements from Chapter 4.
  • Pick 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches, and 5 dinners from Chapter 6 to rotate through for the next 5 weeks. (Add 1 new dinner rotation meal per week so you never feel like you're 'dieting' or restricted — and use the Plate Method to build the rest of your dinners around whatever you and your family want to eat.)
  • Screenshot the daily checklist from Chapter 1 so you can use it every day.
  • Plan your one 'off-plan' meal for the weekend in advance (Chapter 7).

Week 1 — Foundation

Goal: stabilize blood sugar and hydration.

  • Hit your calorie target 6 out of 7 days.
  • 30g+ protein and 5–7g fiber at breakfast (PFF method).
  • Half your body weight in ounces of water + a pinch of sea salt in your morning glass.
  • One 30-minute morning walk daily.
  • One 10–15 minute walk after dinner.
  • Pick 3 hormone- and insulin-friendly foods (from Chapter 1, Bonus 2, and Bonus 3) to add into your routine every day this week.
  • Optional: pick 1 breakfast and 1 lunch from your rotation to eat on repeat this week. It sounds boring, but repeating meals removes decision fatigue, keeps your calories predictable, and actually helps your body settle into fat loss faster. If you love variety, skip it — but it's worth trying for a week.

Week 2 — Add movement

Goal: build the movement habit.

  • Keep everything from Week 1. If you enjoyed your 3 hormone-friendly food additions, keep them — or swap in 3 new ones to see how you feel.
  • Add 2 short strength sessions (20 minutes each) from Bonus 5.
  • Add one "movement snack" per hour — 5 minutes of walking or 15 squats.

Week 3 — Plan the weekend

Goal: protect your progress through Friday–Sunday.

  • Pick one 'off-plan' meal for the weekend and enjoy it fully.
  • Bank 100–200 calories from your daily target on the 2 days before.
  • Use the restaurant strategies from Bonus 1.
  • Keep your morning walk and morning protein on weekend mornings — this alone changes everything.
  • Keep the same 3 hormone-friendly food additions daily, or pick 3 new ones to try out this week.

Week 4 — Dial in protein and sleep

Goal: preserve muscle and lower cortisol.

  • Hit your daily protein target from Chapter 3 (roughly 0.8g per lb of body weight).
  • Same bed time and wake time 5+ days this week.
  • Add a 3rd strength session.
  • Take a mid-way progress photo and re-measure.
  • Keep the same 3 hormone-friendly food additions daily, or pick 3 new ones to try out this week.

Week 5 — Full send

Goal: stack every habit and see the payoff.

  • Everything above, running at the same time.
  • Add a second short walk on any day you feel a craving spike.
  • Keep the after-dinner walk non-negotiable.
  • Keep the same 3 hormone-friendly food additions daily, or pick 3 new ones to try out this week.
  • End the week with a new progress photo and a new set of measurements — this is what you'll compare to Day 1.

What to expect on the scale

  • Weeks 1–2: Fastest drops. A lot of this is water and inflammation.
  • Weeks 3–4: The scale slows. This is when real fat loss is happening — don't panic.
  • Week 5: A second drop is common once your body settles into the new routine.

"Up to 10 lbs" is the ceiling, not the promise. Some people will lose 5. Some will lose 12. The people who stay consistent past Week 5 keep going.

Action Step

After 5 weeks, don't stop — just repeat. This isn't a challenge, it's a template for how the rest of it looks.
